Today is my last day at Mindshare. I've been working at this office for five and a half loooong years. Although when I think about it, it feels like yesterday when Libby and I were linked arm in arm wearing the same outfit campaigning around the office to win "Duo of the Year." Or this ridiculous party bus trip to a WWE wrestling event with CFinn and Emily to learn more about our target audiences. A scary snowy drive up to Green Bay with Christine and our foreign Mindshare driver (no names). Walking into a surprise bridal shower hosted by Leah and the Unilever team, with the most embarrassing facebook photos taped all over the walls. Countless trips to the not-so-secret Secret Cafe with the CLEAR team. And forcing co-workers to walk Benson over lunch with me.
There have been both ups and downs, and I have learned so much professionally and personally. However, I am ready to move on and am excited for our new life ahead!
I will say that today has been an absolutely fabulous day at work thus far:
1 - Ladies Home Journal invited my team to Nordstrom's for breakfast at 8am and we received a lesson on how to tie a scarf 14 different ways. Hey, you never know when you're going to want a street or poncho look. Not to mention I got a beautiful scarf out of it.
2 - I watched the first half of the bachelor (poor britt ... but let's be honest, she never had a chance).
3 - Had my exit interview and came back to a crazy virus-stricken computer which needed to be fixed by IT (whose prank was that)?
4 - Free Qdoba!
5 - Watched the second half of the bachelor (no surprises here).
Only a few hours left to pack up the rest of my things and roam around Mindshare until the clock hits 5:00p so we can head up to the HI Club to celebrate. What is the HI Club, you ask? Oh, a fancy name for Holiday Inn bar located just a couple floors above our office.
Here's to change!
