Benvenuti!

Welcome to my work-in-progress blog! I will admit that I was not the only brain behind the adorable "north on ninety-four" blog name. I wanted my blog to signify the changes happening in my life, including my upcoming move from Chicago to Milwaukee (yes! we are finally moving!) and enlisted my co-worker to come up with something creative. We thought of a bunch of witty potentials - "advertising pays my mortgage","weekly deliverables", the un-original "me versus life"... but "north on ninety-four" says it all, literally even.

With all the upcoming life changes (and as it would be, all at once) I figured what better way to keep friends and family updated?

Big City --> Smaller City
Rent Check --> Mortgage
Electronics --> Cattle (yes, cattle. and swine to be exact. more to come...)

Nope, I didn't accidentally or purposely leave off "baby." You wish.

Today is my last Friday at Mindshare, a media agency in Chicago. My workplace of over five and a half years. Actually, my five and a half year anniversary happens to also be my last day ... coincidence? I start my new job in Milwaukee, WI on the 28th, so Dan and I have a lot to kick off the bucket list in the next 16 days....when we aren't looking at house after house after house. What's on the menu tonight? Drinks and dinner at Dos Diablos with my husband, my college roommate and her husband. Bring on the sangria!

My plan is to post every day - whether it's about my move, what i made for dinner, finding a house, my family, posting a picture I took with my new DSLR, what I love about Milwaukee, you name it. Follow me if you'd like! If I bore you, stop. I'm not forcing you =)
