{ A.K.A. I'm sad and I need something sweet to make me feel better }
So, our first offer on a house has been countered. And by what? Three measly thousand dollars from the listing price. Is that even considered a counter!? That's ridiculous. This house we love is already far from reasonably over-priced and I had to have a little giggle with our real estate agent who commented, "we must have missed the solid gold inlays throughout the house." We're going to counter again, but not by much. Pretty certain this will not go through. Whatever is meant to be, will be right? Que sera, sera.
On to dessert! Learned this fun recipe from friend Kate P. and I can't even count how many times I have made these. Super simple. Enjoy!
Scotcharoos
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
6 cups rice krispies
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1/2 package butterscotch chips
1/2 package milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Boil sugar and corn syrup in pan over low heat. Once boils, remove from heat immediately. Stir in peanut butter and rice krispies and mix evenly. Spread into 13 x 9 " in pan.
Melt butterscotch and chocolate chips on low heat over stove top. Once melted, spread over krispie bar mixture. Let cool and serve!

i think you should write a "peanut butter" cookbook. some things never change ;).
