New job = Updated wardrobe

Since I'm going from casual to business casual dress attire at the new agency, I've spent hours in my closet dissecting my wardrobe, trying to create outfits and figuring out how to not go on a wild shopping spree. Of course, I found good reason to invest in a few nice dresses and pieces. Dan and I went on a nice walk today (not realizing the pelting snow), and although my original plan was just to go into Gap and grab some nice black trousers, I ended up getting everything but nice black trousers.

Now typically when I rummage through Zara on Michigan Avenue, I either have bad luck or I find pieces I'd rather not pay full price for. But today I found the most adorable, reasonably-priced dresses:

I can wear these dresses to work, to a bridal shower, and really I think I can update them for spring, summer or fall. The dress on the right isn't exactly what I purchased but it's similar; I couldn't find it online. The one I bought is sleeveless and has a cuter green pattern. Each dress was $59.90 - not bad!

I'm also dying for this new coat from their spring line:

It's even cuter in person and has a great material. It's $100, so I'll probably wait until it's a little warmer (and a little cheaper) before I buy!

Spring, please visit soon!

  1. Good buy on the snakeskin Zara dress! Saw it there this week. Snakeskin print is very hot for Spring.
